Buildings & Grounds Maintenance

This division is responsible for maintaining all City buildings, including minor carpentry, plumbing and electrical repairs.  In addition to maintaining all City buildings, this division is also responsible for the installation and maintenance of all City signs and street markings, all two-way radios on City vehicles and equipment, as well as the cameras, emergency lighting, decals, etc. on all Police and Fire Department vehicles.

The Building Maintenance division assists other city departments on a regular basis, most notably, the Downtown Goldsboro Development Center and their efforts to promote City sponsored activities.  These employees are on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week to respond to emergencies.
